With all the various types of CBD out there, it can get confusing understanding the differences between the variations. The three main categories of CBD are: Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolates. Each of them work in a different way with different compounds and terpenes, so you can expect a difference in effectiveness in each.
Want to know more about each of these types of CBD? Read on to learn more!
Full Spectrum is the most inclusive of the types of CBD! This type contains multiple other cannabinoid compounds that all work together to deliver you the most effective relief. It can contain the cannabinoids CBN, CBC, CBG, and more, all working together to relax you. It also includes a variety of terpenes, flavonoids, and essential fatty acids to offer the highest level of relief. Full Spectrum can legally contain less than 0.3% of THC, as in if traces of it can be present in some variations. Don’t worry though! With such a low amount, there is little to no chance that it has the ability to cognitively affect you as THC does.
At K’dara, all of our oils and tinctures are made out of Full Spectrum CBD, as we want to make sure they are effective, and lasting!
On the other hand, Broad Spectrum is very similar to Full Spectrum, but rather, sans THC. It still carries the many hemp cannabinoids that we love and use, and of course CBD and those wonderful terpenes. This could be an ideal way to consume or use your CBD if you worry about the effects of the 0.3% THC in Full Spectrum. This way, you can still reap the benefits of multiple cannabinoids.
Something that Broad and Full Spectrum CBD have in common that they both can induce what’s called the “Entourage Effect”. This basically means that when multiple cannabinoids working together in your product, they are able to create a full balanced feeling.
At K’dara, we currently don’t offer products that are Broad Spectrum, but we might in the future!
Isolates are the most simple of them all, as they only contain CBD, as in there are no additional cannabinoid compounds in a product. If you’re looking to see how CBD alone may work with you, Isolates are a great way to go. With it containing just pure CBD, it gives the user a chance to see how it works with their body, rather than with additional cannabinoids that can interact with it.
At K’dara, all of our gummies contain CBD Isolate, so they are able to give a simple, easy relief.
